About Woodcrafters

The Woodcrafters was incorporated in 1983 specializing in the area of commercial and residential renovations and restorations. Over the years the focus of the company has evolved to include custom homes, sub-division development, design and layout work for projects.

The Woodcrafters consists of one principle shareholder, Peter M. Morkis, resident of Prince Edward County for over 30 years. The senior foremen are continually upgrading their education through courses offered by the Ministry of Housing to keep up with the constant changes that occur in the construction industry. We employ 8 to 16 local trade people annually and utilize a significant number of local sub-trades and use local suppliers as often as possible.

The Corporation is covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, (Firm # 240225HH), and is a registered builder under the Ontario New Home Warranty Program (# 31560). We also carry liability & builders risk insurance.

In 1997, we received the Business of the Year Award from Prince Edward County Chamber of Tourism and Commerce. Our company has supervised, developed and built 2 sub divisions in Picton, completed over 50 new homes and numerous renovations. Our services also include custom cabinets and custom trim for renovation requirements.
